To see them find a way out of the family cycle of brokenness , sex work, addiction and into a place of being restored to live in wholeness with purpose and on a journey to knowing God.
Over the past couple of years it feels my head has been full of questions, ideas, prayers.
What will it take to see these women really restored, for them to know they’re loved and surrounded by a supportive community, to see them feel welcomed and part of church, to see them leave work in the sex trade, tosee them fully rehabilitated out of addiction and into functioning , healthy fullness of life?
We want to have a go at finding some of the answers.
I’m excited about what God has in store for these women and our project, because where they’ve come from and where they are now is definately not His plan. The gospel is real and works so it has to work for everyone, including them.
Just one more, probably in the top 5, thing about being here -Liverpool people are amongst the friendliest on earth. One of my favourite things to do is to chat to random strangers ( if I know you, don’t worry I also love chatting to people I know:o), starting with (a little) small talk, complimenting them, encouraging people, smiling (in a non mad looking way) at people, asking lots of questions so they end up telling you about them and their whole family on a bus ride, and my favourite praying for people, and laughing a lot with people (not at them
) !
Liverpool’s great- anyone want to come join in the fun?
I guess this Blog is kinda a work focussed Blog- but there are other things I love about life, if you’d like to see what go to OTHER FUN .
